Hey everyone!
You've all been so patient with me while I live in DIY limbo, waiting on products I've ordered and cement to dry (literally). My sister is trucking away on the kitchen. The cement counter-tops are currently being sealed, and when her hardware arrives she's going to install the doors (worst part of the job when you have a bad back, so I'm glad I'm not stuck doing it). I'm so excited to show you all the finished product, but if you haven't already, head to this blog post for some progress pics! The chairs I'm refinishing to go with the table I did before my big PA Christmas trip have hit a couple snags. I mentioned in my last post that everything I seemed to order recently had issues.
I'm choosing not to freak out, and instead I've made myself productive in other ways. I found a new client, who is sweet and fabulous and has entrusted me with a super quick farmhouse makeover on an Ashley's Furniture desk she bought second-hand.
This is what the desk looked like when she dropped it off:Today I'm going to share with you the 5 Easy Steps for a Farmhouse Desk Makeover:
Here is what the desk looked like with its first coat of paint:Here is what the desk looked like with its second coat of paint:Here is what the desk looked like after I distressed it:Here is the desk sealed and ready for its new owner!
See how easy that was? And look how bright, and chic it looks now that it's been painted white. This dinged-up desk has got a new lease on life and it only took a day and a few easy steps! Hope you all have the courage to try this yourselves. Be sure to upload any pictures on to our Facebook page by clicking the links below!
